Jeremiah Lockhart:
What really excites me about the potential of electrical engineering is honestly the innovation of technology today, right? You see all these electric cars and electric devices, and part of all this technological innovation is electrical engineering. The flexibility of the career and the tech industry is really what brought me into the electrical engineering field and the electrical engineering department. For electrical engineering, you get exposed to hardware and a little bit of software as well. And I know that I always wanted to do hardware when it comes to like circuit design or maybe working with computers, but I also I'm always curious about the software side, like coding and doing algorithms and things like that. And having to make those correct decisions on what step to take next in the process kind of made my mind into a logic-defined mind. Electrical engineering covers a lot broad topics and those applicable to the field of technology and innovation that I wanted to do when I graduate. Hi, my name is Jeremiah Lockhart. I'm a student in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Texas A&M University.
Michelle Revels:
Electrical engineering is an exciting field of study with a broad scope and significant impact on modern society. Almost every technology in history that distinguishes the 20th and 21st centuries has the imprint of electrical engineering. As an electrical engineering student, you will have the benefit of a program which will prepare you for a wide range of career opportunities. Students will be able to specialize in circuit design, communications, controls and signal processing, computer engineering, electro physics, power systems, and electromagnetics or microwave engineering. By choosing electrical or computer engineering, you can embark on an exciting and productive career with endless opportunities and help in shaping a better future for mankind.
Jeremiah Lockhart:
What interests me in electrical engineering is mostly the versatility of the degree. As technology grows, so will the need for electrical engineers. And that need just to innovate and to do anything in consumer electronics is always it's only going to grow from here because it's just exponential. Me having an electrical engineering background, I know that I always have a chance to be involved in those technological innovations that I'll be able to apply my knowledge on that and to use the what I learned in it. Definitely in the hardware space and in the software space, there's a lot of things that kind of interconnect between hardware and software and electrical engineering provides that provides an opportunity to learn the bridge between hardware and software. It kind of covers all the areas that go with technological development in the future years, and I'm really excited about being a part of that change and innovation for years to come.
